Frequently Asked Questions
Does Dr. Frykman work alongside oncology?
Yes. Surgery for childhood tumors is planned jointly with pediatric oncology and, where relevant, radiology and pathology, so that the operation fits into the wider treatment plan.
Can we get a second opinion on a tumor diagnosis?
Second opinions are welcomed. Bring imaging, biopsy results and any treatment plan already proposed, and Dr. Frykman will go through them with you.
How quickly can we be seen?
Families with a new or suspected tumor diagnosis are prioritised. Call the office on (805) 372-8500 and explain the situation so the team can arrange an early appointment.
